GRAINGER stock analysis (100% accuracy)

August 3, 2015

This article was written in Jan 2015, however was not posted for some genuine reasons which I cannot share

Grainger stock is one of the very few stocks which held up relative well during the crisis of 2008-2009. For the whole of 2014 this stock was in a range of 225 – 265. On Jan 28th 2015, it closed at 231.04. That’s a nice consolidation for the whole year. Recently the company gave quarterly results on Jan 26th & the smart money did not like the results. Let’s see what the charts are saying ( basically shows the path of smart money) : Please note the chart below is as of Aug 2015. At the time I wrote the article I was using chart as of Jan 2015.

grainger stock

SHORT TERM Trend – Negative

MEDIUM trend – Neutral /Positive

LONG term trend – Positive

BULLISH SCENARIO – Smart Money may step in right here & see that 229 is not broken. First target is 235 & then 240. However, lot of technical damage happened on Jan 26th. It will be a tremendous battle for this stock to turn again positive in short term. It is all up to smart money. Short term will turn positive only if crosses 254- 255 or so (tough ask – but anything is possible in markets & smart money decides).

BEARISH SCENARIO – In short term if 229 is broken convincingly, then first target is around 225. And if 225 is broken as well, then next target is around 211…and Medium trend will turn negative.

Conclusion – For long term players in this stock, please watch out for the above levels…229 & 225. If 225 is broken convincingly this stock may go down fast and medium trend will turn negative. Long term trend is solidly positive though. If I am invested in this stock, and if Bearish scenario plays out, I will sell some of my stocks.

Thanks & God Bless !

Thank you Kumar for your advice not to invest money in WFM in November 2013. I thought this would be a good opportunity to get my daughter started in stocks, but it would not have been a pleasant beginning. The stock has never been as high as it was when I was considering it. It has continued to decrease over the past year. It started at 59 and fell to 38 in a few months. I should have invested in MSFT as you recommended which has gone from 38 to a recent price of 49.

Thank you Kumar for sharing your views on Gold. As I recall you predicted this well in advance around 8 years back that gold will have a dream run, and you are damn right. I realize some of us didn't buy that theory at that time initially, but soon enough realized the true potential of gold and started purchasing from then on and made good handsome profits. Truly appreciate your advice on gold even today.
